Why This Blog Exists & How To Read It
IMO the main reason why blogs succeed is because they aggregate useful information on a particular theme.
And until recently I didn’t have a theme which suited my expertise and wasn’t already written about by someone else qualified to write about it.
But, two weeks ago, I stumbled upon Michael Martinez blog about Seo Theory.
Now, at first I found his blog fairly irritating. It seemed to be a rant about all the SEO Guru wanna-be’s and how he didn’t like a lot of the Spammy tactics people use these days etc. Michael also seemed to advocate not doing things like link building, floating articles on domains that already rank well etc.
I thought “damn, he really advocates a very non practical way to go about SEO”.
But the more I read, the more I understood that Michael’s SEO Theory blog is about PURE SEO Theory.
He isn’t interested in discussing SEO that makes money, SEO applied to list building, SEO as part of a business strategy; No; His blog is about the pure theory of SEO.
Ahhh, Now I “GET IT.”
What a great concept!
A discussion which purely focuses on ONE THING. Not how that one thing applies to something (or anything) else. But a discussion of ONE THING.
I’ve since become an avid reader of Michaels SEO Theory Blog, and used it as the inspiration to start my own.
My blog’s theme is all about Risk Management in the purest sense.
I’m not here to discuss the ethics of business as it pertains to risk management. I’m not here to discuss the the implications of risk management on other businesses. Neither am I here to encourage anyone to do anything unethical, or suggest that my own business behaves anti socially. On the contrary I truly believe that a SUS Business runs from a socially contributive frame, and DOES NOT USE the FRP to generate leads.
However, the riskiest part of any business is the time it takes from idea to traction; whether it’s expanding a current business or starting a new one.
And using cash flow from fast organic growth to reduce risk while funding growth is something I know a lot about.
So stay tuned.
