The post on shoemoney’s blog was a guest post. I’ve heard him suggest several times don’t put ads on your site till you’ve built traffic.

Michelle, I’m not sure I understand your point.

Seth Godins Blog is not monetized with ads in any way - his blog is a good example of the strategy I’m suggesting people follow… and Seth himself has posted messages similar to mine (though less detailed and less step-by-step) in the past.

What about Seth Godin’s blog? I did some research on top marketing blogs and Seth Godin was posted EVERYWHERE! I was like NOWAY! It was not at all what I expected to see. One rnadom dude whom I’d never even heard of making an obscene amount of money and moteriety for that matter with a silly marketing blog. I recently wrote an article about it. Maybe it just jealousy? I don’t know, but I’ll tell you one thing once I wrote my thoughts I read the blog and couldn’t eat my words fast enough. If you get a chance check it out:
