Hello Bitches!
To read my blog you’ll need to understand the acronyms I use (you can never have too many acronyms):
FRP – Free Rider Problem: An economics term which basically means to take advantage of the work of others to get more than your fair share. Search Engine Spammers are part of the free rider problem. The general public uses a search engine because most websites are useful, but a spammer takes the value of that perception for himself without giving anything in return. But only a few people can spam, because if everyone did, there would be no value generated and no one would use the search engines in the first place.
BII – Broke Idealistic Idiot: A naïve idealist who believes that the world should be fair. They constantly rabbit on about “fair play” and “creating value”. They hate people who participate in the FRP. And probably live to be old, broke, and bored.
LAG – The time between thought and fruition. LAG is why people can live to be 55 and achieve almost nothing, while people in their 20’s can become well known entrepreneurs and even millionaires relatively quickly. Some people have LAG that can be measured in decades or years, while others have LAG that can be measured in minutes or seconds.
SSG – Super Sleazy Guru: The phenomenon of a person getting lucky in business, and then selling the story of their success for the next 20 years. Their information is outdated and useless but it doesn’t stop them from charging a fortune for it to a large amount of suckers trying to get ahead in life.
FSSG – Fake Super Sleazy Guru: The worst of them all. This type of person has never achieved anything in business, but their network of contacts has gained enough credibility to present themselves as an expert. Background is usually an ex salesman with great presentation skills.
C&S – Control and Stability: Not an easy thing to achieve in a business that has a big profit potential.
MA – Marketing Addict: A person who believes marketing is the start and end of any business. Usually can be split into two groups, both of which are convinced that theirs is the only useful form of marketing: branding and direct response.
NERD – Programmer with no sales, marketing, or social skills.
CHC – Cost Hence Commitment: the unfortunate phenomenon of becoming committed to something simply because of the high cost of acquiring it. This works against people who are committed to trying to make a bad business work the same way it works against people in an abusive relationship that they’ve put a lot of time and energy to. It is easily recognizable by the thought pattern of “It’s cost me so much I can’t give up now…”
SUS – Sustainability: A little talked about but critically important business consideration. People who make the FRP their entire business model have seriously neglected the SUS of what they are doing. Hence whilst they make big money in bursts (if they are good enough) they are doomed to working 23 hours a day… for the rest of their lives.
EL – Experiential Learning: Learning on the job. A person engaged in EL is also engaged in many other skills than simply learning the job they are on. There is a NET effect of EL which results in a human becoming significantly more valuable than they would be if they were simply a book learned theorist.
CEI – Cutting Edge Innovator: An extremely rare person who is on the edge of progression. This is only possible if they have mastered everything that is currently known about something and is moving beyond proven practices into fresh territory. Probably is less than 1% of entrepreneurs.
DCEL – Delusional Cutting Edge Loser: A common occurrence in green entrepreneurs who believe they have great idea’s no one has thought of. Even though they have never been in business and would be unable to explain what a business really does.
5YG – 5 Year Grind: The time it takes to acquire a high level (entrepreneurial) skill set. Expect to lose a lot of money in this period, and budget accordingly so that you never risk too much and don’t go bankrupt.
LA/LM – Lead Acquisition/Lead Monetization: At the core of it, these are the only two things any business really does. All business success stems from understanding that the base goal is to acquire leads for less money than they can be monetized for.
PSINM - Proven Strategy In New Medium/Market: the fast way to a lot of money.
FRPLaundering - Using the FRP to create a SUS business. Usually involves taking FRP money gained in a market and plowing the money back into the same market using techniques with lower profits but more C&S.
IAM – Information Addict Model: The self fulfilling prophesy of businesses that are based on selling information. The profitability of which inherently lies in customers purchasing slight variations of the same information repeatedly, for as long as possible.
CGG – Collusive Good Guys: Bad guys who tell the market they are good guys and back each other up. Often noted for the blatant way in which their actions seriously contradict their words. However, JOE6PAK seems to believe every word.
JOE6PAK: The guy who is going to make you and me rich. He doesn’t want to think. He doesn’t want to work. But he does want more for less. And it’s our job to give it to him.
IVB – Imaginary Value Business: Most easily exemplified by the companies who successfully sell water (a totally free resource) for more than the price of gasoline (a resource that requires wars be fought to obtain it).
