Have You Heard Of Esmee?
12 months ago, a 17 year old girl from Holland sat on the end of her sisters bed - and with gum in her mouth sang her own rendition of TLC’s Waterfalls.
In June this year, she played as Justin Timberlakes opening act in London in front of a sold out crowd.
She is the only singer or band in history whose first concert was as an international opening act signed by a major record label.
Interstingly, Esmee Denters was eliminated on a pop talent show similar to American Idol before she sang her song in front a webcam and put it on youtube.

At the moment there is a tremendous opportunity for music artists, comedians, sports people, or anyone who does something that’s visually or musically interesting to get exposure.
Because businesses don’t like risk. And if you show them a market place who is ALREADY following you before they start promoting you, you represent almost ZERO RISK to them.
They’ll pay you more. They’ll court you more. They may even fight over you.
So use youtube to create your own following while the opportunity exists, because no doubt this door will close for one reason or another in the next few years.
